Start out by opening Google Chrome on your Laptop, and visit this link: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/google-meet-grid-view/kklailfgofogmmdlhgmjgenehkjoioip/related?hl=en to take you to the extension page. Then press ‘Add to Chrome’ …

A pop-up will then appear. Click on ‘Add Extension’ …

You will know this extension has been installed correctly and is active if the circled icon is on your top bar …

Should you not see the above icon, press on the Three vertical dots on the top right hand corner of Google Chrome, press on ‘Settings’, and click on ‘Extensions’ on the left hand side. You will need to make sure the slider is blue as per the below screenshot …

You will now need to join your meeting. A guide on how to do so can be found here – and you will see an additonal button at the top. In it’s current state the grid view is currently disabled, and the normal Google Meet view is being displayed …

To enable the grid view, click on that button. It will now look like the below …

Hovering your mouse over the button will give you the following options. You can tick and untick the boxes based on your personal preferences …
