Enhancing learning beyond the curriculum
Pinewood leads the way in providing pupils with a range of interesting, educational visits. In many curriculum areas there are opportunities for day trips providing pupils with Learning Outside the Classroom experiences.
Pinewood’s engagement in sporting events is very impressive. Pupils can experience and are successful in a huge range of sporting activities. Thanks to the dedication of staff and pupils, we have an excellent reputation in this field and pupils represent us as sports leaders and ambassadors.
We also love to provide opportunities for pupils to experience residential opportunities giving them time to explore the outdoors or explore the history of an area.
Pinewood pupils experience outdoor education as part of the curriculum at Pinewood. This fosters self esteem and teamwork as well as many other skills.
Throughout the year the school runs theme days and competitions such as ‘World War 2 Day’ ‘The Weakest Link’ The Spelling Bee’.
Here at Pinewood we are always finding new and improved ways to get involved in the community, whether locally or further away. It’s a pleasure to work with local businesses, schools and other groups to enhance all of our lives. Everyone gains from working
