Fry Class Investigate The Great Fire of London
Fry class have been learning about Tudor times and the cause and science behind The Great Fire of London in 1666.
Build Update – January 2025
Here’s a New Year update on the progress of the new school build at Pinewood School.
The last months of 2024 saw the contractors demolishing the old school building once we had moved in o the temporary school on the field.
Since then they have been extremely busy building the base for a new electricity substation, rerouting services such as drainage and forming the new entrance road.
Since Christmas they have begun work on preparing the ground ready for the concrete base on which the new building will stand and we can expect to see that base being formed in the near future along with the first steel structures of the building being erected.

Build Update – July 2024
Work has progressed rapidly since our last update, with over 60 units from a total of 90 which make up the temporary school now delivered and installed on our playing field.
These units make up part of the main school building and a separate, a single story building also being built containing our dining hall, kitchen and sports & production hall.
A further delivery of units is due in the next few weeks. Students had a chance to view the temporary school and their classrooms before they left for the summer holidays to help them understand what to expect when they return in September.
