It’s been a busy week at Pinewood and here’s Mr Baines’ last Vlog of the Summer 1 Half Term with an interview with students from 8S

Pinewood Jubilee Celebrations!

On Thursday we celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with a non-uniform, Red, White and Blue clothes day and a whole-school picnic on the playing field. The weather was good and everyone enjoyed the music and a selection of sandwiches including Coronation Chicken and a Jubilee cake for desert!

If you think it, report it.

We all have a role to play in protecting children and young people from child abuse and neglect.

Many people do not act because they’re worried about being wrong.

You don’t have to be absolutely certain; if you’re concerned a child is being abused or their safety is at risk, speak to someone.

Following these simple steps and reporting your concerns to your local council could provide the missing piece of information that is needed to keep a child safe.

Child abuse. If you think it, report it.

Pinewood Shoe Boxes for Ukraine

Over the past month Pinewood Staff and Students have been busy donating and organising aid supplies for Ukraine.

In total, we filled 45 Rotary Boxes with supplies for Families and Children split in to different categories of useful items. We also raised £137 for British Red Cross on our Yellow / Blue clothes day and staff donated £90 for postage costs of the boxes.

We hope the boxes reach Ukraine quickly and provide much needed support for their recipients.

M&M Jungle Book Panto

M&M Theatre Productions visited school today and gave two brilliant performances of The Jungle Book. All students had a chance to see the performance with those who are isolating viewing by live stream. The cast did an amazing job of bringing the characters to life and transforming the sports hall in to a jungle!
