As a regular customer of the brilliant Herts Young Mariners in Cheshunt, we’d like to support them by sharing their fundraiser during this difficult time. https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/staying-afloat-2
Our second batch of 100 face shields has now been dispatched for delivery to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow. Together with other private 3D printer owners and schools in the area, these are going to fulfil an order of 500 units that they require urgently.
Our fundraiser made an incredible £1313 all of which we have put towards this cause. We are continuing to produce more shields around the clock to supply orders for hospitals and carers across locally and nationally. Thanks to everyone who contributed to this amazing cause!
On Friday 1st May 2020, Pinewood pupils and staff are celebrating reading and storytelling by having a Pyjama day. “Pyjamarama” is an annual event created by The Book Trust to help foster a love of reading.
Pupils can send in pictures of themselves holding their current or favourite books. School staff have been involved in a collaborative video book, with chapters being released every hour from 9am to 1pm through the Literacy Google Classroom. Accompanying the chapters was a series of quizzes with Amazon prizes being issued to our winners. Get ready, sit back, and enjoy our Roald Dahl story..
Our first batch of Face shields has been delivered to Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford where they were accepted by Nurse Ellie on behalf of the Hospital. Read the full story or donate here: https://www.gofundme.com/manage/pinewood-covid19-fundraising
