Our boat was called The Pride of the Lea and our captain, Jed, carefully steered us along the Lea at a steady pace so that we could name the different kinds of wild life spotted, look at the different houseboats and wave at the public in other boats and also walking along the toe-path.
Although the weather was not perfect after the horrendous storm the night before we all had a really good time and Richard, our catering manager, provided a yummy picnic with a selection of filled rolls, fruit, cookies, chocolate muffins and plenty to drink.
My thanks go to Mrs McIvor, Mrs Chaplin, Mrs Reeves and Mr Akford who accompanied the pupils and of course the pupils themselves who were perfect ambassadors for Pinewood School who smiled, said hello and thank you to Jed when it was all over.
A great morning was had by one and all.
