On Friday 27th September, all students at Pinewood had a morning full of Climate Change related learning, where they were educated about some of the effects of Climate Change, and as to how making simple changes to our lifestyles can benefit our planet. Miss Glithero did a fantastic job of showing the students informative, educational clips during their morning assembly – where plenty of questions were asked, and students shared their prior knowledge with others.
The morning’s activities came to an end with a Climate march around the school. The Students had been hard at work creating banners and placards to hold up high to ensure their voices are heard! It was great to see (and more importantly hear) how passionate they were about the topic and the need for reform. This was also evident in the speeches some students presented to their peers. The pupils will also be writing and creating art for our local MP, Mark Prisk, as to how the changes in the environment are making them feel, and that they’d like something to be done about it! (We very much look forward to receiving his letter-headed response!)
